The Italian Curling Association proudly announces the names of the athletes who will represent Italy at the 1st Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck from 13th to 22nd January 2012.

It is a team made of players from different Italian clubs: the skip is Amos Mosaner (C.C. Trentino), the third is Denise Pimpini (C.C. Sporting Club Pinerolo), the second is Alessandro Zoppi (C.C. Pinerolo-Torino 2006) and the lead is Arianna Losano (C.C. 3S Libertas Luserna).

For all of them, it is their first experience in an Italian national team.

They are all school pupils and have played curling since the XX° Olympic Winter Games in Torino in 2006.

Their coaches will be the Canadian Daniel J. Rafael, who has been coaching the Italian National teams since last year, and Lucilla Macchiati, coach of the youth teams of Pinerolo and a high school physical eduction teacher.

Skip Amos says: "I am very happy to have the opportunity to represent my Country at the 1st edition of the YOG. We will try to do our best to reach good results and to play a good curling. It will be for sure a great experience!"
